HAITI
OUTREACH MINISTRIES (HOM) is an IRS approved 501(c)3 non-profit
organization, with the goal of introducing Christianity to the
people of Cite Soleil, Haiti and neighboring communities
through evangelism, church planting, medical treatment,
education, and nutrition. HOM partners with the Christian
Churches at Cite Soleil, Blanchard, Ibo Beach and Repatriote
and the associated outreach programs (medical clinics and
schools) at these sites. |

Here's how YOU can
participate:
- Pray for the ministry and the
people of Haiti.
- Bring a short term mission
team to work in one of the ministry areas. Contact Bill
Glass at haitioutreach@hughes.net.
Areas for team efforts
include:
- medical teams
- summer Vacation Bible School
teams
- general work
teams
- major facilities work
teams
- summer teacher training
workshop teams
- Sponsor a student at one of
the primary schools, in HOM’s secondary school scholarship
program, or in HOM’s college/technical school scholarship
program. Visit our sponsorship page for details.
- Help underwrite one of the
capital projects.
- Help underwrite nutrition,
vocational training, or pastoral programs.

How you can make donations
If you wish to donate for emergency relief, schools, evangelism, building projects, community feeding, the clinic or other ministry areas that people can do so by mailing checks to:

All such donations go 100% to the area designated and are fully tax deductible.

Specific
ministries supported by HOM include:
Worship Services - attended by
over 3000 persons each Sunday at 4 locations
Sunday School and Bible studies
for all ages
Weekday Primary School - currently provides primary education to almost 700 students at 3
locations
Daily basic
health clinic staffed by Haitian nationals
U.S.
medical team clinics as often as
U.S. teams are available
Feeding program for students,
providing one meal and a snack daily
Vacation Bible
School (6 weeks) daily during the summer
Leadership training for Haitian
nationals (ongoing basis)

February 2009. Praise God! 54 Cite Soleil homes have been repaired since the outreach effort began in December. With dozens more on the list for work and hundreds more in need beyond those, HOM seeks donations for emergency needs and teams which are interested in helping with this effort. We are also at the 6 month rollover of the microloan program and expect to enlarge it modestly over the next quarter. Without such programs, financing is virtually unavailable for the people of the ministry areas. It is notable that the repayment rate is at or close to 100%! More...
